Rising Tide

I’ve never been much for politics. In my book, there’s a lot of word-smithing and false promises to appeal to people’s aspirations. I was down in the financial district yesterday and I ran smack dab into the outcome of political decisions, fostering protest over financial policy and regulatory decisions that has led to a rising gap between the haves and the nots. I know which side of that equator that I’m trying to live on, but none of us lives alone. There are some undercurrents that are bubbling in this country, and hopefully they are allowed to release steam without exploding.
