Festival of Ideas
Yesterday me and the mrs jumped on the bikes and made our we to the LES to check out the Festival of Ideas after visiting friends at a bar on park avenue. The festival was taking place on the Bowery and various locations downtown. My favorite exhibit was the Audi Urban Future Initiative on Mulberry Street, that explored the future of the city in regards to technology, sustainability and urban transport. Some of the ideas presented were plausible, some were ambitious and others were outright impossible, but they pushed new theories forward on how we will live as New Yorkers.
After leaving the Mulberry Street, we went to the Bowery and soaked in the art, weirdness and happenings that were taking place on the street. It’s good to know that New York can still be weird from time to time in exuberant forms of public display. We ran in to my man Castro and Arthur and his fam, before making our way east to hang out with Allen and the Teddy Boy (http://teddyboyinc.com/) crew. The last stop was chicken meatball sandwiches on Stanton and then it we made our way back to BK.
