Brooklyn Biking
After a morning of riding down to Brooklyn Bridge Park at the crack of dawn, I came back to the house to prepare to have some work done. After that, I was itching to get back outside in the sun. I linked up with Hitty who had just bought a new bike, and I wanted to help him put it through its paces.
We biked over to the flea and saw some my favorite folks like Elisa, and Saadiq and Shana from Collecther (http://www.collecthernews.blogspot.com/). We grabbed a bite to eat and then went to Vinnie’s. Lo and behold that had a cookout going on in the back that George “The Mayor of Brooklyn” Harris was holding down in the back. We chilled for a minute, listening to the DJ spin classics and sipping on some Stellas. Next stop, we checked out the Juneteenth celebration. Right before going, I ran in to Ty, in town from the UK, Dre and everybody’s favorite father, Arthur.
We entered the park and the Soulful House was rocking thanks to Tabu and his SoulSummit crew. Unlucky for me, my battery died on my camera and I couldn’t capture the action. It was good catching up with The mighty Tabu and even saw Odom before the cops turned the lights out on the party. Game over time to head home.
