Ft. Greene Fest

Every year, this is the event that you do not want to miss. Me and the Mrs. were debating if we should run to the city to catch Summerstage and then come back to Ft. Greene. We decided t stay in the hood and jut hit the fest. This is the one place, that that you’re guaranteed to see folks that you might not have seen for a while.

There were a couple of random acts that we saw until Res warmed the stage. She sounded great. We were up on the hill, so we couldn’t really see her. With a nice plate of West Indian Food, a blanket and good visuals as far as the eye can see, it was a great day. Sherry was in town from London and stopped and stopped by, as did Jennifly. Mos Def played a lot of joints that I wasn’t too familiar with, but Umi Says made up for it. After walking out of the park to grab our bikes and head home, we ran into Vanessa and Manushka. It was a pleasant surprise to a full on day.
