Velvet Peach Cafe

My man Erwin opened up his restaurant yesterday in Prospect Heights. I hopped on the bike and made my way to his spot. He’s put a lot of work, money and effort into this venture so I had to come out and support. The place was very well appointed with a lot of exposed brick, earth tones and it had a lofty comfortable feel to it. His spot is right in the heart of restaurant row on Flatbush. It’s amazing how developed this strip has become in the last few years.

The food was scrumptious. I had plenty of helpings of the egg salad with ceviche shrimp on a slice of bread. I also tried the curry chicken and had a little peanut butter and jelly cake. They even had live music and the crowd was getting into the performance. It was a nice way to wind down a Sunday. I had to leave before I ate them out of their budget from day one. Best of luck E with the new spot.
